Press Garden Zone

Ah, Press Garden, Sonic Mania's second original zone and my personal favourite. There's something about the vibes of an industrial factory contrasted with a beautiful frozen garden on the outside that really gets me going, y'know? Especially with that gorgeous soundtrack, ugh, it's beautiful. But, this isn't the place to ramble about things like that - instead, this is the place to ramble about all the references that the team packed into this little area!

Dragonfly

Originating from Sonic 3K's Mushroom Hill Zone, Dragonflies have a very similar appearance here, with the exact same function: Stay in place and hover up and down. As you'd expect, the spiked parts of its body aren't exactly the safest for our heroes to jump into, leaving its head as the only safe place to dispatch these Badniks.
